The seven routes between them cover all the village footpaths and bridleways. The purpose of the walks is to check the condition of the paths, signs etc and report on any action needed. The walk leader makes notes to pass onto the Village Council and Surrey County Council for action.

The footpath walks are organised by Chaldon History Group, supported by Chaldon Village Council and use of the Village Hall is provided free by the Chaldon Community Trust.
